his participation in the league; there was apparently a
misunderstanding
related to Iverson’s overusage and the league had indicated that
if Kyle
found the overusage and it was due to an error by the other coach
then
the error would be corrected but apparently Kyle had expected the
league
to perform the search for the error and was apparently waiting
for a
response all of these months (believing that no response meant
that it
wasn’t important to the league) without sending any sort of
reminder that
a further response (beyond the original response that it was his
responsibility
to find the error) was expected; due to this issue Kyle has
decided that this
league is no longer meant for him; we wish Kyle luck as Kyle was
in the
league for several years; team CUY will be added into the
expansion pool
8/22/2005 Bud of team MIS
has indicated that he no longer has time
to be able to continue participation in the league
6/29/2005 John of team HIC
has decided that he will not be continuing
participation in the league

5/12/2005 texlak78
This game result was not received by the deadline of 5/8 evening
and so it was autoplayed
with tex winning the game; however, Rick/
Lak sent the result on 5/2
and forwarded the long recap e-mail to
Ed after receiving the
autoplayed result; in addition, in an e-mail Ed
sent to the league about
outstanding games Rick indicated that Ed’s
e-mail counting number of
games not received implied that texlak78
had already been
received. Ed verified in his old e-mail
received and
sent that he had not
received this result. Since it was
within 24 hours
of playing the autoplayed
game that Rick indicated that he had already
sent the result the
autoplayed game had not yet been imported.
The EC voted 6-0 (Jeff, Brian, Jason, Dale, Charles, and Ed) to
accept the result of the
game played by Rick and not the autoplayed
game; the result of this
game did not affect any playoff positioning.
5/10/2005 Jeff S s.seahawks15@verizon.net has
expressed an
interest in joining the league
5/8/2005 and 5/9/2005 q4
autoplayed results using away gpl’s
ancmar75 won by mar, cuymar76 won by cuy, stamar80 won by sta,
dakmar88 won by dak,
marmis67 won by mis, brotuc73 won by bro,
tamtuc74 won by tam,
texlak78 won by tex (see texlak78 entry above),
and nortem80 won by tem
5/9/2005 Team TUC
Drew/Tuc has indicated that he is on the fence about returning to
the
league next season due to
work schedule, I have indicated to Drew
that a decision is not
needed until Strat releases the next card set
5/8/2005 Team Mar
Ray’s participation in the league has come to an end; in
retrospect
when he indicated to me
after, I believe, q1 that he would like me to
find another coach to take
over (but I was not able to find a coach) as
he wouldn’t be continuing
next year I should have simply autoplayed
all Mar home games even
though Ray had said that he would fulfill
his league obligations
which, looking at the autoplayed games for
this year, clearly did not
end up being the case
5/8/2005 lakmis80
Rick/Lak has protested this result (within 24 hours of receipt)
won
by Mis as Shaq played only
11 minutes and Gary Payton played only
23 minutes despite being
scheduled in the lakmis80 gpl each for their
usual much larger 36 minutes
as verified by Ed
Ed has ruled without calling for an EC vote (using the “obvious
ruling”
clause of the Constitution
and notifying the EC of this issue and ruling)
due to the proximity of
tonight’s game result deadline that this game
needs to be replayed (e-mail
sent to Bud/Mis and the EC at 8:45pm PDT)
and the deadline for this
game has been extended to 5/10 at 9:00pm PDT
See also texmis06 and sunmis74 issue below as perhaps the same
thing occurred, Ed has asked
Bud to check that static fatigue is on and
injuries are off and that
Bud is using v2.0d of the sombkw program
5/7/2005 fordak70
Tommy/For has protested this result (within 24 hours of receipt)
won
by Dak as Gaines, Bender,
and Dickau all appeared in the game but
were set as ineligible in
the gameplan as verified by Ed
Ed has ruled without calling for an EC vote (using the “obvious
ruling”
clause of the Constitution
and notifying the EC of this issue and ruling)
due to the proximity of
tomorrow’s game result deadline that this game
needs to be replayed (e-mail
sent to Jason/Dak and the EC at 10:50pm
PDT)
5/7/2005 sunmis74
Charles/Sun has protested this result (within 24 hours of
receipt) won
by Mis as Zach Randolph
played only 5 minutes and Richard Jefferson
played only 17 minutes
despite being scheduled in the sunmis74 gpl
each for their usual
approximate 36 minutes as verified by Ed
Ed has ruled without calling for an EC vote (using the “obvious

3/27/2005 Q3 Game Result
Deadline Autoplays
The following games were autoplayed due to home team not sending
results: texmar47, valmar50, walmar55, lexmar56,
indmar59, formar61,
hicmar63, bromar64,
lakmar65, tambro47, ancbro63, minbro65,
dakmin55, and suntem56 using
away team gpl’s and all games were
won by the away team except
walmar55, bromar64, ancbro63, and
minbro65
Aaron/Tem did send the file but I never received it, Doug/Min did
send
the file to at least Jason
but I never received it, Nigel/Bro had gone
out of town and forgotten to
take his laptop, Ray/Mar indicated that he
had played most of the games
and was going to send them all after
3/27 (I responded that the
deadline had been posted weeks ahead of
time and re-affirmed the
request to send game results as soon as the
games are played)
I sent out a request that everyone keep a list of home games for
the
quarter and when I send the
“received” acknowledgment check that off
on their list so they know I
received it
3/27/2005 Neil
neilshannon1@comcast.net has expressed an interest
in joining the league next season
3/26/2005 tucmis49
Bud/Mis pointed out when sending this result that he accidentally
used D.Harvey 11 minutes when
he was supposed to be ineligible,
also Drew/Tuc noticed that
several of his players did not play close to
their gameplanned minutes
(including T-Mac being underused); the
EC ruled by a 4-0 vote (Ed,
Rick, Brian, and Dale) that the game will
need to be replayed by Bud
3/13/2005 Gpl deadline
Nigel/BRO is late with his 3rd quarter gpl’s; Nigel
indicated that he sent
them 2 weeks earlier, on
3/16 Nigel sent the gpl’s and I received them
3/10/2005 HIC Gugliotta
John/HIC pointed out that while the roster sheet indicates that
Gugliotta played 25 games he
actually played 55 in the NBA season;
the EC have agreed 5-0 (Ed,
Rick, Jason, Charles, Jeff) that he will
be allowed to play in the
final 30 games and the roster has been
modified to reflect this
3/7/2005 Team MIN
Doug dbailey31@yahoo.com has taken over team MIN; please
welcome Doug to the league
2/17/2005 Trade
DAK receives Eric Snow and Malik Allen
TAM receives David West, Theron Smith, Bimbo Coles, and DAK #5
This trade was reported without
M.Allen and #5 but that would leave
not enough players on DAK, trade was reconfigured hours before
the 2/15 deadline and approved 3-0 by the EC (Ed, Dale, and
Rick).
2/15/2005 Team MIN
Unfortunately Ned has indicated that he has had to give up all of
his
Strat leagues due to work, I
will try to find a replacement soon (Mike
as indicated below had the
first shot and Joe now has someone who
may be interested and will
get the next shot, after that will be forum
advertising)
2/13/2005 q2 autoplayed
games
Results which I did not receive from the home team by the
deadline:
tammar24, tucmar36,
dakhic24, indtem33, broanc41, sunsta44
2/12/2005 Trade
DAV receives David Wesley
WAL receives DeShawn Stevenson, DAV #2, and DAV #5
This trade will go into
effect beginning in quarter 3 of the season
and there is no days missed adjustment needed as both have
missed all the games they need to miss and both DAV and WAL
have played the same number of games.
1/24/2005 Mike
mikeborzenski@fwi.com expressed an interest
in joining the league although is not available for this season
1/3/2005 Days
missed adjustments for trades
P.J.Brown has already missed what he needs to miss
G.Robinson needs no adjustment as it turns out
R.Murray has missed a few games, no adjustment needed
M.Jaric very slight adjustment made (57-81 instead of 57-82)
for team schedule
K.Ollie needs to miss 1 game since he has played 21 while
The team he’s going to Val has only played 20 – Ollie will
miss the game on day 23
Ancmis07 won by Anc and Lexmis08 won by Lex – these results
were played by Bud/Mis (who
lost both) but he forgot to send them
until after the games were
autoplayed
1/2/2005 Trade
DAK receives Darrell Armstrong
VIR receives Zaza Pachulia and Rick Brunson
The EC approved this trade
4-0 (Charles, Jeff, Brian, and Ed); the
trade will be executed after the first quarter of the season
12/30/2004 Trade
ANC receives Marko Jaric
VAL receives Kevin Ollie and ANC #1
Note: on
Val #3 and Val receiving Vir #3 due to Jaric’s injury being worse
than expected
The trade will be executed after
the first quarter of the season
12/29/2004 Trade
VIR receives Ronald Murray
ANC receives VIR #3
The EC approved this trade
5-0 (Ed, Charles, Rick, Brian, and Dale);
the trade will be executed after the first quarter of the season
12/13/2004 Texmis06
Bud/Mis accidentally did not import Tim/Tex’s gpl for this game
in
which
not have been; by a 7-0 vote
(Jason, Charles, Ed, Brian, Rick, Dale, and
Jeff) the EC decided that
the game will stand as is but Duncan and
Planinic will be allowed to
play one extra game this season
12/6/2004 Trade
HIC receives Glen Robinson and NOR #2
NOR receives P.J.Brown and HIC #6
The EC approved this trade
5-0 (Brian, Rick, Charles, Dale, and Jeff)
with Jason and Ed abstaining; the trade will be executed after
the first
quarter of the season
11/26/2004 Tam
Joe/TAM noticed that he accidentally used Lindsey Hunter on day 7
hosting MIN when he shouldn’t
have so Hunter will miss the next game
hosting MIN on day 54
instead

11/17/2004 Trade
TEX receives Sam Cassell and Raul Lopez
VIR receives Andre Miller and Rodney White
The trade was approved 5-0 (Brian,
Rick, Dale, Jason, and Ed).
11/15/2004 Trade disallowed
By 4 votes (Dale, Ed, Jason, and Brian) to 3 (Rick, Jeff, and
Charles)
the following trade was disallowed: Val receives Kevin Garnett and
For #2; For receives Dirk Nowitzki, Primoz Brezec, and Val #1.
The EC felt that to trade a
player the caliber of KG (one of the best to
ever play in the NBA including versatility and durability) who
has in
all likelihood several more years of great play (i.e. he’s not an
aging
superstar with just a few years left) one would need to get in
return
something better than Nowitzki (who is a very good player but
nothing
close to KG), a mid first round pick (Brezec was chosen #19 in
the draft
a week ago), and a small swap of picks (low first for high
second).
11/14/2004 Trade
HAR receives Morris Peterson
IND receives Brandon Armstrong and HAR #2
11/8/2004 Trade

players who are no longer on
the team. For example, if it says Smith

reduced from Smith’s
eligibility on the roster web page for the upcoming

10/31/2004 Rule Changes
The following rule issues were posted a couple of weeks ago on
the
main web page and EC voting
was completed today:
1) Use new “emphasize
individual defense” option = No by 7-0 vote
with Ed, Dale, Jeff, Charles, Brian, Jason, and Rick agreeing
that
use of this option would have too many negative effects
including
reducing how often the various results on the defensive card
(offensive foul, inside block defender, difference between
close/sag,
etc.) come up
2) Roster size modified to
16-18, at least 16 is mandatory with 17 or 18
optional = Yes by 5-2 vote with Ed, Jeff, Charles, Brian, and
Rick
agreeing that this is a good rule; Dale and Jason chose an
option to
increase all rosters to mandatory 18
3) For any player who played
750 or more NBA minutes increase the
minutes allowed from 105% to 110% = Yes by 4-3 vote with Ed,
Dale,
Jeff, and Charles agreeing and Brian, Jason, and Rick voting
no

BRO receives TEX #2
